“Bussmann has a proven track record in his career spanning nearly 20 years in IT management. Most recently, he was regional CIO of Allianz for North America and Mexico (NAFTA). His prior roles include positions in the Allianz Group in Germany and the United States, as well as at Deutsche Bank. He began his career at IBM in Frankfurt, Germany, where he was responsible for the retail banking division.

As CIO of SAP AG, Bussmann will be based at the company’s headquarters in Walldorf, Germany. Bussmann holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Muenster, Germany, and has been a member of the BITS advisory council, a not-for-profit financial service industry consortium made up of 100 of the largest financial institutions in the U.S., since 2007.”

Enterprise Geeks Exclusive Interview with SAP CTO Vishal Sikka

On day 1 of SAP TechEd in Las Vegas, we were able to sit down and spend a few minutes with SAP CTO and Executive Board member Vishal Sikka for an exclusive eGeeks interview. Vishal explains in more detail some of his topics from the keynote and answers some other questions from the egheads.

“Dr. Vishal Sikka has been a member of the Executive Board leading the Technology and Innovation Platform area since February 2010.

Vishal’s responsibilities include the SAP technology platform and tools to design and deliver the SAP technology portfolio, including SAP NetWeaver and SAP BusinessObjects technologies; developing new technologies and new investment opportunities, including scientific, academic, and customer-driven research; driving the adoption of disruptive technologies and products, as well as developing advanced products from research to early adoption; and ensuring coherence and consistency in architecture and technology following “Timeless Software” principles. Vishal also oversees key technology partnerships and customer co-innovation, and is an executive sponsor of the SAP Labs network.”
