Great to see (hear) you back! I was wondering if anyone else has problems downloading this podcast using the iOS Podcast App?

It works fine via iTunes but not via the Apple iOS Podcast App. I found some similar issues here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5165410?start=0&tstart=0 seems like it is sometimes caused by the server not supporting “byte range requests”.

Anyhoo just wanted to see if it was just me or if others had the same issue.

    Thanks.

Yes it’s the “byte range requests” issue, unfortunately I’d have to completely recompile our HTTP server engine and update the whole Linux OS to find a “possible” fix for it…

      Hi Craig,

That sounds painful – I guess that’s part of the ‘fun’ of running your own server. In any case I found a workaround by downloading the “Downcast” (sort of a sad name for a great app) podcast app for iOS, it handles your feed better than the apple app does so I can happily listen away when in the car etc… other listeners may want to do something similar.

Its been nice to hear what you guys have been up to, and glad you and Tom survived your trip to South Africa 🙂

      Keep the podcasts coming!

I’ll have to check out that app! Thanks!

Was Dan in South Africa during the podcast? LOL! Bad connectivity.
