UPDATE: Annual TechEd Thursday Night Dinner

Hey eGheads.  Just wanted to give a quick update.  We have reservations for 7:00 PM on Thursday(10/15) at Fogo De Chao in Scottsdale.  We are getting a private room  at the restaurant.  For those of you who have RSVPed to me, you are in, but if you have not RSVPed by now, I can not guarantee seating in our private room.  The “Train” concert starts at 9:00 PM( Doors open at 8:30 PM ), so I think we have plenty of time to eat and get back to the convention center for the show.  Remember, this dinner is not an SAP sponsored event, and you will be responsible for the costs of your own meal and transportation.    Yes, even you, customers!!!   The cost of the dinner is approximately $47 USD per person.  This includes salad bar, hot sides, and 15 different cuts of meat, and I assume a soft drink of some type.  So please try to arrive about 7:00 PM and come hungry.  See you all there.

ABAP Freak Show – Oct 8th – Portal Eventing

In this episode of the ABAP Freak Show, we look at how you can use Portal Eventing for communication between different iViews in the same Portal Page. You can use Portal Eventing to communication between iViews of different technologies running on different backend systems. We will focus in this video on using Portal Eventing in Web Dynpro ABAP, although we will close the example with a demo of Portal Eventing between WDA and BSP. The portal in this video was a NetWeaver 7.02 system and is running the new AJAX portal framework and the signature design.

Google Wave Invites

[Update]  All the invites have been taken.

I just so happen to have 4 3 2 1 extra Google Wave invites, after of course passing some out to the Kernel.  First four commenters with  emails in the comment get’em.

Don’t bother asking what I think about it because I haven’t really played with it at all!  It’s doesn’t seem too useful by yourself so, I have no opinion.

We will all have invites so we will be messing around with it out over the next few weeks and we’ll probably have an opinion by then.
