ABAP Freak Show: January 21, 2009
by Thomas Jung on January 21, 2009 at 10:27 am
Welcome to another edition of the ABAP Freakshow. For January 21st, 2009 we examine how to default in values into Select-Options in Web Dynpro ABAP. This forces us to discuss topics like Data References, Generic Data Types, and Casting via Field-Symbols. I also bring up the topic of possibly doing a community project for an updated version of SE16. Be sure to leave comments for any suggestions you might have for features in this possible project. Finally we close out the show with a short discussion on how the ABAP Freakshow got its name.
Tune in on the first Wednesday of February for our next show. We will be looking at the new Drag and Drop functionality of Web Dynpro ABAP in NetWeaver 7.01.

Perfect timing Thomas. This really came in handy for what we’re doing. Your MDM schema program was also very helpful with figuring out some of the dynamic structure binding business.
