This comic from xkcd had me laughing, because this kind of situation has happened to the best of us.
Sometimes it’s easy for enterprise geeks to overlook the most simple solution, just because it’s not new, shiny, and challenging. Of course there’s always a proper time to research and play with the cool stuff, but keeping it as simple as possible is key to staying focused and accomplishing the real end goal. Don’t let yourself become an intelligent idiot.
Now, that’s funny. OHHH SO sad but true. When in doubt, refer to RTFM and KISS as alternative approaches to solution resolution.
